End The Siege Of The Marawi Immediately

 


The upcoming Second ( 2nd ) SONA of the Philippines President Rodrigo Roa Duterte makes the government hoping to end the siege in the Marawi City immediately. The Government is still fighting over a Month since President Rodrigo Duterte declares Martial Law in Mindano. The clash started on May 23 when the government try to arrest the Abu Sayyaf leader Isnilon Hapilon who is reportedly as the designated point person in Southeast Asia ISIS. Together with his men, they’re supporting the Maute Group led by the Maute Brothers Abdullah and Omar.



The government wants to end the siege right away but because the enemy is skilled and have many resources it makes them difficult somehow. Also, some of the government troops is not prepared for it and learn as they go on the battle ground on how to fight in an urban area. Along with the fear for the militants to harm their hostages and the people who are not yet rescued near the battle ground makes the war still on progress.

The Military believes that the number of people died since the clashed started can be increase significantly since there lot of civilian who are trapped and feared to be executed. Because of the ongoing clash between Government military and Maute Group and the damages made, the President created the Task Force Bangon Marawi, who is in-charge in rebuilding the home and lives of civilian in Marawi City.

The high court is still on process in legality the declaration of the Martial Law. Lorenzana believes that the declaration of Matial law by the President Rodrigo Duterte is an accurate decision when the Maute group attack the Marawi City also it is the way to imposed the anti-terrorism law.
So far, this is the biggest security problems facing by the administration of President Duterte. Though the desire of the government and the people of Marawi to end the siege right away. Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said:



“... it should not come at the cost of the lives of government fighters.”
